About Us

Premier Nursing Solutions was founded in November 2018 as a nursing home and assisted living facility in Kingston, Jamaica. The CEO and founder, a Registered Nurse with over 12 years experience noticed that the local standard for elderly care had decreased significantly and also that there was a particular lack of assisted living facilities.

This concern was further exacerbated when a search commenced to find a long term caregiver for her father-in-law. Realizing that there was a real and growing need for various forms of elderly care in Jamaica, the idea was born to establish this facility.

Our unique care facility is focused on senior care and living. It has 9 private bedrooms, with En suite bathrooms. Each room has either queen or double size bed, fully air conditioned, flat screen televisions, bedside tables, mini refrigerators, spacious closets, and access to cable and Wi-Fi. This nursing / retirement home is situated on twenty thousand (20,000) square feet of secured land space, with a variety of fruit trees and open garden spaces. There is 24 hour security on location, with full CCTV coverage, and a walled and fenced perimeter. Operation of the property is done with a high degree of self-sustenance, with a kitchen, laundry facilities and reserve water tanks on location so as to ensure the comforts of all our residents.

24HR Nursing Care

With our low nurse to client ratio, we ensure the highest quality of care is maintained by our trained and experienced Registered and Practical Nurses daily. Clients’ rooms are also equipped with call buttons for convenience and safety

On Call Doctor - clients

A physician with experience in geriatric care is available on call 24 hours daily based on the needs of our nursing home or assisted living clients.

Social and Recreational Activities - outings

The activities are organized on a daily and weekly basis, which includes morning exercises, games, outing and field trips. Special in-house entertainment is also available.

Grooming & Relaxation

Caring for clients holistically is a major part of wellness. We provide grooming services with on call hairdressers and barbers, nail technicians and masseuse for relaxation.

Shuttle Service For Individual Needs

Transportation is provided for a variety of functions, which include medical visits, religious activities and other personal needs.

Laundry and Housekeeping

All clients are provided with full laundry services and daily housekeeping.

Cuisine

Our experienced kitchen team remains committed to providing nutritious and delicious meals for our residents, specifically tailored to individual preferences, nutritional, medical and religious requirements. Our property, which houses our lush gardens provides organic fruits and vegetables daily as the seasons dictate. Clients are provided with three meals and two snacks daily as a minimum.

Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy is beneficial at any stage in life. Our trained and experienced physiotherapist helps clients in not only maintaining their independence, but through the recovery process from injury or illness. This is achieved via manual therapy exercise and education.

Assisted Living

Not all seniors are at the physical or mental stage that requires a nursing home. As a result, assisted living or retirement home is a better option, as this allows individuals to reside peacefully whilst maintaining their independence with 24 hour on call assistance, and without the hassle of chores, meal preparation, or maintenance of a home. Many persons tend to find this a convenient long term option.

This is for persons who may need a temporary stay at our facility. This is a valuable service to full time caregivers who need a break, as a trial before moving in full time, or for a client who simply wants a change of air location

Our day service is suitable for clients and family members who wish to have the convenience of daily care, but desire to return home at the end of the day. This is also suitable for caregivers/family members who have to travel or have other obligations which cause them to be unable to provide care for such a period. Client flexibility is always exercised for such services.

This service is suitable for persons who are returning from hospital and/or require 24 hour nursing management, wound care, or other specialized attention.

We ensure superior memory care services which facilitates a better quality of life through proven therapies of sensory and social interactions in a safe environment.
